General Mach Discussion / Mach 3 issues...
« on: December 01, 2015, 11:17:47 AM »
I've just finished my new configuration of my X3 mill. I'm using a USB AKZ250 3 axis board along with a HP elite computer running Windows 7 Pro. When i first load Mach everything works as it should. The problem arises after I load a program. After offsets are set and soon as I load a program my offsets are changed no longer being XYZ 0 along with it changing my machine coordinates as well from home position. Then if I proceed to run program the machine moves and the difference it physically moves to what Mach says it does is greatly different. Mach says it moves .150 in X when it clearly moves an inch or so. Another issue after loading a program is I can no longer reference the axis home. When I press the button the zero axis buttons flash red then back to green. I've had the newest version of Mach3 loaded as well as other previous versions and still the same results. I'm lost and would greatly appreciate anyone's help.

Thanks,
Jake

General Mach Discussion / Re: Home Switch Staying Active
« on: December 08, 2011, 06:14:46 AM »
Got the problem solved this morning. Let this be a lesson. When something just all of a sudden quits working right check the simplest things first. Went back and pulled the wire covers off the home switches and found a loose wire. Tightened the screw back up and problem solved. Thanks to all parties with the assistance. I feel like a dumbass, o well back to making chips.

Thanks again,

Jake

Tweakie,
Can you please go into detail in what you are asking me to look for. This is my first real problem with my breakout board and for info purposes it is a C10 board. I have little electrical knowledge of this board and its inner workings. Little guidance work be greatly appriciated.

Thanks,
Jake

Hood,

Nothing in the Mach software has been changed. All settings are as they were a couple of weeks ago when I last ran the mill and nothing was wrong. My Home Limits are active low. When I un-check them the Home Limit LEDS go off but cant get the limit switches to do anything then. They have to be set active low.

General Mach Discussion / Home Switch Staying Active
« on: December 03, 2011, 08:59:16 AM »
The Home Limit signals are staying active in Mach 3 without any of the switches being pressed. Ran the mill a few weeks back and had no problems. Went out the other morning and soon as I started Mach the problem arose. The switches are wired in parallel. I've tried moving it to a different output pin and no luck. Even with the the switches not connected to the breakout board the Home Signal in Mach is still active. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in Advance!
JAKE
