Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Mach4 & Neuron THC
« on: September 02, 2019, 02:35:15 AM »
At this time the Hicon Integra and the ESS are the only Mach4 controllers that offer realtime THC.
You right - as I know only HiCon Integra and the ESS has support for up/down mode realtime THC.
Neuron controller has been working with the Mach4 for 4 years now and this is a little different THC:).
This is a full standalone solution that offer a automatic plasma cutting process control. It's use own plugin (for communication via Ethernet port), screen and modules. Mach4 doesn't even know about torch slide (g-code file consist only XY plane motion).
Neuron directly control plasma cutter and Z axis (has a embedded motion controller for torch slide).

HI I have neuron thc, and can not find the plugin for mach3 or march4, and also the firmware, any idea where can I get it, I tried on its main page but there is no download for that

Thanks a lot

Hello Sergio!
New Mach4 plugin and firmware for Neuron Lite THC controller was sent on your email. Please check.

Mach4 General Discussion / Re: Mach4 & Neuron THC

Hello Royce!
Yes, Neuron Lite work with Mach4.
Mach4 still has not Plasma profile and we use scripts for "THC wait for Motion signal" future.
One very important thing - Neuron and other THC use synchronous  with motion IO control commands like M62Px/M63Px for turn on/off automatic voltage control from cutting program. It's allow to prevent torch diving on the corners and end of cut where arc voltage rapidly increase.
I can be wrong, but as I know now only ESS (204 biuld), Parallel port plugin and HiCON motion controller (with special license) support this commands. This is just information.

Thank you Rufi.

Hello!
Does the HiCON INTEGRA controller support synchronous with motion commands M10P(output number)/M11P(output number) for Mach3 and M62 P(output number)/M63 P(output number) for Mach4?
Thank you!

Promote and discuss your product / New Neuron.THC Torch Height Control
« on: February 05, 2016, 02:47:01 PM »
Hi, I want to take attention to our new product.
It is new Full Stand Alone Neuron Torch Height Control (THC) works with any CNC (Mach3, Mach4, Linux EMC2 and other). Controller use discrete I/O interface to CNC and plasma cutter.

More information on our web site http://neuroncnc.com/products/neuronalone

UserManual http://neuroncnc.com/assets/docs/NeuronSimplicityUserManual.pdf

The Neuron.THC Simplicity consists of the following components:
-Control module
-Plasma supply interface PCB (Voltage Divider)
-CNC interface PCB

The Neuron.THC Simplicity comes with the following features:
-Single chip microprocessor based compact control, easy to install almost anywhere
-Digital display and set arc voltage and other parameters, easy to learn and operate
-Works with ALL plasma cutters
-Controls Z axis motor driver directly (Pulse/Dir interace, internal motion controller, software PID control loop)
-30 cut profiles for different metal thicknesses. Quickly switch between profiles and the ability to quick edit them
-Set point voltage range 25 - 250V
-Set Point voltage resolution 0.5V
-Maximum control accuracy +/- 0.25V
-Height control accuracy +/-0.125 mm (.005") using a properly configured Z-axis.
-Works in Inches or Millimeters mode
-Automatic or manual control of the cutting sequence
-Sample voltage mode - THC measures the voltage at the end of the AVC Delay and uses it as a set point for the remainder of the cut
-Automatic Collision Avoidance. This safety feature allows the control to automatically adjust the torch height during a cut to help prevent torch crashes
-THC OFF hardware input for control from CNC to disable automatic control when corners, end of cut, circle of small radius
-Programmable arc voltage limiter Lock Head Down to help prevent torch diving and crashing when crossing a kerf, corners, end of cut
-Programmable arc voltage control loop dynamic (gain) value
-Works with Float Head and Ohmic sensors for IHS simultaneously (availability of ohmic input depend from controller version PCB)
-Shot mode – can use for marking centers of the holes
-Improved Jog - the lifter initially jogs 0.25 mm. After 0.5 second, it begins continuous motion at the IHS Speed. After 1.5 seconds, the lifter increases the speed to the programmed Manual Speed
-Programmable torch retract delay. This future for example can use for disabling plasma power supply before end of cut (few tens of milliseconds) without motion stop for reducing pierce divots
-Built in Testing mode of the cutting sequence
-Integrated diagnostic system informs the operator about errors that occurred
-All I/O interface (include arc voltage) are isolated and simple wiring (Cat5e cables and RJ45 connectors)

Signals from/to plasma source to control module interface:
-Arc voltage: 0-12.5V (20:1 input) or 0-350 V Raw arc voltage input
-Start plasma (Normal Open Relay Contact 100 mA protected) output
-ArcOK (Transfer) input

Signals from/to CNC to control module:
-Cycle Start (5V DC for activation, polarity is not important) input
-THC OFF (5V DC for activation, polarity is not important) input
-Motion (Normal Open relay contacts 100 mA protected) output

CS-Lab / Re: Support M10/M11 commands

They answer CSMIO not support this. But it's coming soon....... :)

Thomas, I don't use mach3 THC. I developer of the Neuron.THC.
Command M10/M11 or M10Px/M11Px use in g-code laser cutting machine, plasma, oxyfuel...
This command is regular Mach3 function and I hope It's support by CSMIO.
Smooth stepper support this commands and has separate settings for this in the configuration menu. Full support has and  HiCON motion controller.
In Mach4 we need this command too (M62/M63 -  Mach4 embeds the IO into the motion data that goes to the motion controller and then to IO ports)
Thanks!!!

I send the message to CSMIO support about this question.
My THC controller is not use internal Mach3 THC  function, but I need this signal for control THC ON/OFF during execution of the G-Code.

Thomas, this is CS-Lab thread and I think you use CSMIO. Yes in PP all work fine.
