I trying to get MACH3 ver 3.043.022 (evaluation version) to work with a Galil 2143 with Galil Plugin V4.4.00
So far Galil Plug in config works and jog is able to move my x, y. and z motors
I loaded Roadrunner gcode and clicked Cycle start button, nothing happens
I looked at the GalilDebug.txt. Nothing unusual with : prompt.
However it looks like nothing got sent out after I clicked on Cycle Start button

Will appreciate it very much if I can get some help.. being kind of new, I am at a lost

Many thanks

Galil / Re: Galil registry in Windows 7

Thank you Aeroshade and others.
I am new to MACH3 but had used Galil cards before.
I run Windows 7 64bit
When I checked the config under Galil plugin, it sees the Galil card
However when I tried to click on the RESET button in MACH 3 it always says
" Emergency mode active
Galil card not connected after reset
  Estop button pressed "

It would not run any Gcode, The LED bar indicator never turn green, stayed yellow always.

I am confused as to how to overcome this hurdle. I could not fine the Estop button in MACH3 or how to release it
Could it be that I am operating the MACH3 wrong ?

Would appreciate if someone can outline a sequence of steps on the MACH3 to test if my hardware works.

I am rather lost in the numerous buttons and menu in MACH3

Thanks a million

I have the same problem

I registered the 2143 into windows 7 registry using Galil's Smartterm

I had to use the RS232 port of 2143 and run Hyperterm to issue the follwoing command to "force" a static IP to the 2143

eg
: IA 1xx, space 16x, space, 0, space xx CR

There is a typo error in the Galil manual. A space is needed after the ,

To check if 2143 took the IP

: TH

I had to set the windows 7 to static IP

However inspite of that I still cold not get Mach3 to talk the Galil........ help !

Hi I am kind of new to MACH3 , would appreciate any help on the following problem with Galil DMC-2143 board

Problem statement : Unable to get MACH3 to talk to DMC-2143

When I press the Reset button on MACH3, I get a message " Galil Card not connected after reset "

Pressed Reset button again, I got message "Estop Button Pressed"

This is how I configured my PC

Windows 7, 64 bit on AMD Phenom II processor
Crossed network cable used between PC & Galil card
Smartterm running in the background
Window registry updated using Smartterm
Galiltools run fine
IP set to static IP
Galil plugin installed successfullly
Did not install Parallel Port driver
Checked Galil.dll is in Mach3/plugins directory
MACH3 acknowledged seeing the Galil card under Configure Plugin

Question : Where is the Estop Button ?  Is it a hardware switch from Galil ?
The message in MACH3 said that it could not connect to Galil so I assume it is not a hardware problem
If it is a button on MACH3 please help me locate it

Maybe it is something else that I overlooked, much appreciate any help you can offer

Thanks

Pardon my ignorance being new to MACH3
