Hi,

I have made the purchase of 3 bipolar stepper drives rated at 3.5 Amps based on the Toshiba TB6560 IC. I am willing to use them with the Smooth Stepper and C 32 board combo which I already have. The C32 has RJ45 cable interface for the drivers and my drivers have 6 points to connect where as the RJ45 has 8 points. Then how do I connect it to the driver? Do I need to keep 2 points in the RJ45 unconnected/Not used ?

The 6 points on my driver are
1] - CP  = Step Pulse
2]   CP  = Step Pulse
3] - DIR =Direction
4]   DIR = Direction
5] -ENB = Enable
6]  ENB = Enable

I have attached the driver data sheet which the seller gave me.

Other points on the driver are:- 4 for stepper motor(-A,A,-B,B) and 2 for DC power supply (+, -).

Hi,
My name is Pradeep and I am from India. I am curently wokring on building a cnc lathe and a cnc milling machine right from scratch. I have already started a build thread on cnczone regarding my cnc lathe.
I will be using mach 3 for my projects. At this very stage, I know very little about the software, but will be exploring it deeper as I will be using it.
So I hope to have a good learning as well as sharing experience on this forum and wish to thank Artsoft for their amazing products which have given so many people the freedom to have a personal cnc.

cheers!

warm regards,
Pradeep
