Hello All

My name is Tim Lauts, a CAD Instructor at Highland Community College Technical Center in Atchison Ks.  Last year we wrote a grant and put in a CNC lab including a Tormach Mill and Syil lathe and lots of new software, also as a part of the grant we added reverse engineering and purchased a 3D Next Engine Scanner.  Needless to say we are working very hard learning all the ins and outs of setting up the machines, software, and general machining operations.  Thank goodness there is lots of wax.  Luckly, we have a machinist attending the class and instructs us on machining practices, he is here to learn the CAD/CAM.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Setting Tool Offsets
« on: February 23, 2011, 12:08:43 PM »
We are having issues with the Machturn tool offset setting.  I can setup the part zeros but when I go to touch off the tool for the offsets, in the tool table editor nothing happens, nor will they clear when Zero World buttons.  I have watched the video on the site many times and followed along.  What am I missing?

We are rookies to Mach 3 Turn and would like to learn how to use the threading wizard, is there a tips and tricks section on the setups? Highland Community College Technical Center
