Show"N"Tell ( Your Machines) / TTX Touch Screen
« on: December 08, 2011, 07:53:20 PM »
Just picked up a used TTX 17" touch screen for $50.00.
No burn in marks or scratches at all.
Once I found the right drivers, works great for Mach3

I have only been doing this for a year so I'm new as well. But I ran into the exact thing last week. It turned out to be Sketckup in my case. When I made the drawing and import to CamBam, the arcs were not one section but instead were many. When I dry cycled it through the program, my servos looked like they were having a fit around the corners.  exploded the drawing and noticed the many sections. I redid the corners in CamBam from scratch and it was fine after that.

Hope this helps

Feature Requests / Re: Retract Z on pause option, pretty please?

Not the "E" Stop 0r Reset but the "Stop" button already has that feature. I have two external buttons. I use the hold to stop under normal conditions and then hit the "Stop" button. Z goes to it's safe position which in my case is 2" from home and the spindle stops.

Feature Requests / Re: Add -Z limit calibration

The system I outlined above, is a safeguard which places a PHYSICAL limit on the depth of cut. I am not at all certain, that lost steps are the actual culprit which causes this problem to occur. Could be due to a temporary voltage drop, when the well pump cuts on (Since my shop is actually permitted as the pump house).

That's funny, because I had the same issue  with X and Y when the air compressor or furnace/Ac kicked in. I would loose steps and could here the spindle dive and come back up. I have since fixed this issue with a good quality surge protector and moved the circuit to the other leg in the panel. The furnace and compressor are on one leg and the controller is on the other leg. Has been 6 months and have not lost a step since.

Show"N"Tell ( Your Machines) / One handed wireless Mach3 Controller
« on: April 12, 2011, 08:05:52 PM »
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but Thought I would share this...............

I have used a few different controllers for my PS3.
I have a couple in a box I no longer use.
I took the Fragnstein out this morning and decided to set it up for Mach3.
It is wireless and fully configurable. I programmed it on my main PC and then
down loaded it to the unit. The settings can be saved as well.
Then you just plug it in the PC running Mach3 and your good to go.
Both the mouse and the nunchuck have an auto sleep mode, which I find nice
because once it is setup and running G code you don't need manual action
and you won't accidently bump a key.
