They call their software Motioncad. I believe it is their own design. I have been trying to find out what I can about the machine components, I do know that it has Galil motion control, I just don't know what one yet. The company that built the machine is called CMM ( Custom Machine Manufacturing ). They filed bankruptcy, and some of the employees got together and restarted the company. Our machine is from the 'old' company, so they can't be bothered trying to fix the problem. They will sell us a new one that still will not properly do numbers or letters. I would like to disreguard their Motioncad, and run a whole new software program, it is not like I have to worry about a warranty. I am new to the internal workings of the way these machines work, so again if I am doing or saying something wrong, please tell me. Also any info what so ever will be greatly appreaciated. Thank you.

General Mach Discussion / How can I change the software in my cnc router?
« on: November 22, 2010, 10:40:49 PM »
I have operated cnc routers for a few years, but never had to mess with the internal workings. Our buisiness is fabricating vinyl fence, so the software is kind of basic, it pretty much just routs rectangle holes. About 5 years ago we bought a third cnc router for the company. This machine was supposed to have a alpha numeric package so that we could rout address and names. For years I have been going back and forth with the machine manufacturer with no progress. Machine will not rout any complete number or name, but will do the basic rectangle for our fence. Now the company has gone belly up, and I would like to get this machine doing what we originally intended it to do, since we have been paying for this machine for all these years. Any help is greatly appreaciated, since this is all new to me. Thank you.
