General Mach Discussion / Soft Limits Again
« on: August 29, 2010, 11:46:55 AM »
I think I found why I couldn't set soft limit to green!  There is a dotted rectangular box on my table!  If I'm within that area my
soft limit light will stay on!  I can't figure out how to change that dotted line to reflect the actual size of my table
X = 48  Y = 24   Appreciate any help!  SPANKY

Very Newbie!  Up and running but having trouble setting soft limits!  I have set them X=48 inches  Y = 24 inches and Z is set from the top at 5 inches!  When I try to use the soft limits I get an error saying I'm not withit in limits!  That is the working size of my table!  Can anyone help this old man/

My name is Larry aka spanky46!  I'm 65 years old and have been a woodworker most of those years.  Thinking about retirement and wanted a different challenge.  I bought a CNC Kit a couple months ago and its finished as far as all the mechanics and electrical!  Now is the hard part for me, MACH 3!!!
From time to time I hope to call on you guys for help!  All of my axes work but I'm having other issues!  Limits and homing.  I need a simple procedure for setting my home switches X and Y.  I learn more everyday and for me its a big learning curve!  Thanks Larry
