General Mach Discussion / Re: axis change direction
« on: September 24, 2010, 10:24:51 AM »
I will check my mill in a bit ,, but im pretty shure the shared Pins are
Estop on table and estop on MPG. but i will check, I cant get to my mill at the moment.

The DRO show the direction the g code is telling the table to move.

IT HAS NEVER changed after i have mill up.
The random direction is only when i start the mill.
expample

x is going wrong direction
i change X to move other way, and it says that way as long as i dont turn off the mill. Days at a time if i leave mill up

It does not always move the wrong way.

Im wondering if it is the ORDER I start my mill?

What is the best order to start stuff up? I have 3 things that have to be started.

5 volt for break out and Controller
Power supply for servo's
PC

I think the PC and Mach 3 has to be started first, what is next of the 2 left?

the gcode start then the first then the mill does is Z axis goes up. resets the zero height and cuts air.

If i delete everything before

General Mach Discussion / Auto Zero Touch pad and c10 (cnc4pc board)
« on: September 23, 2010, 12:18:19 PM »
I think i would like to build me a touch pad to use for Zeroing my Z axis.
I have a c10 board from cnc4pc.  Which pin will i attach the leads to?
What is the command in Mach3 to have the mill come down and zero the Z?
Or do i move it down with MPG until it hits the pad?
Im just not sure of the process after i wire up the pad to use it.
Thanks for the help bob

Sorry the question is not worded better

General Mach Discussion / axis change direction
« on: September 23, 2010, 01:11:45 AM »
it seem several times, when i use my mill, i have to check to make sure
my x y and z more the correct direction. If they dont sometime unplugging the 5 volt and plugging it back in will fix it.
some times i have to change the direction of the mill so it cuts the correct way , same as the dro.
any suggestion are welcome, Im getting pretty sick of doing this.
