Hood, Thank You SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That did the trick...I had been constantly trying things yesterday and must have switched
those to inactive...

Assuming one motor is "Slaved" to the other, Is it checked here?

Ok, that was not checked...I checked that, and rebooted the system...

Now when I hit Ref All Home...there is no movement at all, but the Machine Coord's all turn to Zero at the
position of the axis at the time Ref All home is pressed and the LED's all turn Green.

I have turned on and off the computer...everything else sees to be working properly,
including the limit switches...

Any idea as to why there is no movement when hitting Ref All Home now?

Preston

Hello, I am running version 2.61 and trying to set up homing...

In the past all I used were the limit switches as safety stops, but would like
to get the homing set up.

I watched the Vidio Tutorial on Limits/Homing and have set things up per that advise,
however when it starts to home the Y axis, the steppers on opposite sides of the
gantry move in opposite directions.

Everything work just fine when in MPG Mode or running a Gcode file...

What have I forgotten to check or uncheck in the limits/home area that is causing
the Y steppers to run in opposite directions just when homing?

Thanks in Advance,

Preston

Sorry Rich, I should have included better details...

The MPG I'm refering to is the one accessed by toggling the TAB key on the Mach screen...

Sorry for the confusion.

Preston

PJEnge,
If the MPG is working on the one computer , then there is nothing wrong with the MPG wiring, thus its a mach
configuration. Why not go back and just compare settings between the two and make sure there is nothing different
in the config's?

Hi Guys,

I've got one computer desktop up and running Mach 3 very well and have another desktop that I loaded the same version of Mach 3 and then copied the same xml file to the new box.

When I press any x,  y, or z key on the MPG the DRO increases or decreases but nothing moves...If I go into Diagnostics and press the E Stop the red light lights up, so there is some communication.

I checked to see that the motor tuning is exactly the same.

It does not however see the limit switches if I manually trip them.

Any ideas to sort this out are most welcome...

I'm trying to get this box functioning first on the router, so that I know it's functional before moving it to the Hurco mill conversion.

Best Regards,

Preston

Video P*r*o*b*i*n*g / Re: Webcam while running Mach

Based on the fact that ART is usinng a webcam with the Vidio Probing routine, I would doubt that just the use of a web cam should affect Mach in a negative way...

Perhaps Art or Brian will chime in.

Hello Everyone,

Well after spending 3 days searching for what was causing Mach Version 2.61 to act crazy after having worked great for months, someone recommended that I redo the config in a new file.

I did that and now everything works, except I cannot find the box to check for reversing the A axis stepper motor direction that is slaved to the Y axis... the motors are going in opposite directions on the gantry...

I went through the manual and it says to goto config/ motor reversals...BUT that tab is not listed under my config options.

Any help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

Best Regards,
