Ok, I ll get a contec.

I am setting mach3 with galil the board is connected as I can see the inputs regitering in mach3 and in smart term software.
what happen is I cannot get movement on any of the 3 axes.
when I ask in smart term for Kp Ki and Kd the answer is 6, 0, 64 for all 3 axes.

what else do I have to check?

Jorge

No adlink plugin that I know off.

Is it mandatory to  wire limits to all axes?

Hello.

Do I have to configure the motor outputs on mach3? or just the Galil plugin

Next, config the run the GALIL PlugIn for MACH3.  Then config the Galil PlugIn so that MACH3 can communicate with the DMC-18x2.
a. Run MACH3 -> CONFIG menu -> CONFIG PLUGINS -> double click on GALIL PLUGIN.
b. Follow the instructions in the MACH3 GALIL PlugIn pdf manual file.  If you don't have this manual, download it under the SUPPORT -> DOCUMENTATION at the header of this forum.

I hope this helps some of your fellow Galil owners!

Hello steve

I am trying to use this plugin but looks like the file is corrupted, see attachments

If it is a Contec card, I wrote a plugin for capsteve that can be downloaded.

Would you please explain more detail to do this procedure, I am trying to do that without succes I do not know what I am doing wrong! :(

I installed Smarterm, but I had to manually install the version 7 driver in the system32 folder and go through device manager to get the driver registered.  I could not get windows 7 to install the drivers due to them not being digitally signed and Galil does not support or recommend them for use with w7.  I've read through the Galil notes and verified all the needed drivers are now in my windows/system32/drivers directory.

then where is this cconfigured? on the extended I/O tab of the Galil pluin?
I don't want to start if I am not completely sure, Thanks

Jorge, the opto22 was the easiest to setup. I used a 24 relay board. It left me plenty of flex ability and room for expansion.

do any of the modbus or othe i/o card you mentioned have the ability to run the opto22 g4bp24 relay boards??
thats what i have wired.

Hello Steve.

I also have that configuration and like to move it to Mach3 from camsoft, I think that there is no problem configuring the galil pluging but I am wondering if is there any alternative for the opto22 relay board.

Did you finally configure the galil with the opto22?

thanks,

Jorge B.
