Oh, understood. It was already off.

Tweakie.CNC,

I found the old Toshiba laptop that I used to use.  It worked like a charm for hours. But then suddenly it stopped working. On mach screen everyting seems ok, seems like working but nothing happened on the CNC side.

Thanks for the answer. But once I could use Mach 3 on a laptop. Maybe there's something about laptops hardwares.

I couldn't really catch. Do you mean xml file says the software that it is off?

Hi,

Yesterday, my old computer was broken while I was using my CNC. Then I installed mach3 on another laptop with a parallel port. I moved the mach3mill.xml file to the new installed mach3 folder. But now I'm not able to use my CNC. The steppers doesn't move. They don't give any reaction.

I realised that when I load and start a G-code or drive the motors manually, the X Y Z location adresses on the screen doesn't change. Mach3 starts timing the elapsed time but it seems Mach3 doesn't work.

Addditionally, I moved the Mach3 folder from the old computers hard drive (without installation). Mach3 worked but still the same problem.

Now I don't now where to look at to solve the problem  

P.S:
I checked the parallel port root adres,
Checked the motor pins&ports,
Checked the cables,

anythings seems ok.

Hi Tweakie,

Thanks for your answers and suggestions. And sorry that I  couldn't look at here for so long.

As I searched making PCBs with laser is something expensive, difficult and a bit dangerous in home conditions.

Your suggestion can work. But if I will again use acid, I prefer to use a PCB pen with cnc as I do now.

Hi there,

I have built a cnc with about 60*60 dimensions. I'm using a dremel hand tool instead of a spindle motor to work less noisy but it still works too noisy for an apartment. I thought that maybe I could use a laser so I could use my cnc anytime I want. But I don't know much about lasers. I'm generally cutting 5-8 mm plexyglass, or making pcbs. What kind of laser that I need to use? And is it possible to make pcb with laser? If yes, is it possible to make it with the same laser that I can cut plexy? And also what kind of troubles I might see while the prosses of changing my machine to a laser cutter?

Oh I drow it in Ares (an electric circuit software) and used lazycam to convert dxf file to the gcode, it must be bigger.
Mach3 is set to metric. 

(by the way, I appreciate you, even I'm not enough to understand you try to help me with patience.)
