General Mach Discussion / Re: Spindle and Vac System
« on: January 16, 2011, 07:24:45 PM »
I set the spindle to 1 and the flood to 2, now the spindle starts with the g-code, and the vac can be started easily from the flood control on the Program Run screen.  Thank you for your help.

I have all that checked, the router moves zero, it just won't stop spinning.  it looks like my relays are on m7 and m8.  Attached is the XML file that is running my machine

Flood starts the spindle, mist starts the vac system.  The way it is now, nothing stops on a tool change.  I was think there was a way to program the start button to start them all, they all stop when I hit the stop button.

General Mach Discussion / Spindle and Vac System

I have a little problem, and I cannot figure out how to fix it.  I have my relays hooked up, and my spindle and my vac system will only come on when I hit the flood and mist buttons.  I know there is a way to change them to start and stop automatically when I hit the go button, but I can't seem to get it right.  Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Re: Geckp 540 and Solid State Relay

THanks for the input, I actually bought a new relay, a dual relay board from easycnc.com.  It has all the right hookups to make it work right.  I hope I can control both my spindle, and using the mist relay port to turn on my dust collector system.

General Mach Discussion / Geckp 540 and Solid State Relay
« on: July 16, 2010, 11:22:08 PM »
Good Evening Everybody.

I have been searching the boards for a good 3 hours trying to figure out how to wire and configure this realay and finally had to ask for help.

I have a gecko 540 and a Fotek SSR-25 DA Solid State Relay.  48 VDC Input and 24-380V VAC Output.  I have connected the - side of the relay to the Gecko on Pin 5 of the main terminal board, and the + side to the 48VDC + Terminal.  I have wires coming from the VAC side to an electrical outlet.   If anybody could please help me get mach 3 setup in Mach3, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

David

Well, I finally figured out what the problem is. The 4th Axix stepper driver in my Gecko is bad. I took the X and A axis boards and swapped them out, restarted mach3 and guess what happened? The A motor turned and the X did not. Just to be on the safe side, I tried a different motor on the X axis, no joy... So Gecko Folks, if you are watching, I need a new driver board!

The DRO on the main screen shows up, I do not know how to remove it.

Ok, I see how this thing works now, the drivers are seperate on the botom main board.  I have switched out A for X and X still works, and A does not...Same symptoms with thedriver boards swapped.  It has to be a software config problem.
