Yes, I have been making improvements, now I am building a plasma machine which is 9ft x 6 ft (approx). I have followed your suggestion and my machine is by far working better.

What I am trying now is to implement the following  features in this laser machine:

1) Stopping when the torch stops, so the G code would be easy to find to continue on.

If you have any suggestion how to implement this, I would appreciate it very much.

Hi there!
I am following this procedure, however it only moves very small distances. Let me explain this better.
When Mach3 asks me to write how for I would like to move the axis, I am using 100 (in), and the actual movemen.5
t is around 0.5 in. so Mach3 displays 40000. Accepting this parameter, moving the machine 1 unit (g0 x1.0 f50) should be moving the machine exactly 1 unit in the x-direction, However, this is not the case.
What am I doing wrong?
 
I will appreciate any help to this matter.

According to sellers, these are the appropriate drivers.

These are the specs of this system:

- 4 motors NEMA 34: 1317 oz-in, 5.7 V and 3.0 A/phase
- 4 drivers: SD-2H086MB
   Suitable for-2-phase and 4-phase motors
   Output current up to 5.86A
   Dip switch current setting 8different values
   Optically isolated input signals
   Pulse frequency up to 200KHz
   Supply voltage up to +80VDC

- a breakout board

- Power Supply: 220W, 24VDC

Can you advise me on this?

General Mach Discussion / Stepper Motors Overheating

Hi there!
I am using Mach3 to control 4 stepper motors. I am using appropriate power supply and drivers.
Everything is working good, except that motors are overheating when they are on but not in use (waiting for getting movement). Is there something that I should be to modify in Mach3 setup?

Any suggestion in this direction will be appreciated.

General Mach Discussion / Definifn addresses of a parallel port

Hi there!
I am installing MACH3 under Windows7 32 bit Professional Version.
According to Mach3 manual, port address is 0x378, if computer's port1 is used. However this is not the case, I am using port 3. Properties of my parallel port in Windows System menu display are : I/O Range DC00-DC07, corresponding to parallel port 3 in my computer. How should I put this information into Config-Port and Pins dialog page in Mach? is this the hexagonal format?

I will appreciate very much all the information you can give on this matter.

Precisely, it stops at line 500!

When I purchased the CNC machine, together with the controller, this software MACH3 was included in the package.
I think the next step is to contact the CNC seller directly, is this correct?

Hi there!
I am using ArtCAM Pro to generate G Code which, as usual is loaded into Mach2 for cutting in a CNC machine.
When loading the code, this text is cutted right in the middle and as a consequence it does not complete the task. The screen displaying the part to be cut is also half displayed. It is important to mention that the original text file with the toolpaths generated by ArtCam does have the complete code.
Any suggestion on this matter will be highly appreciated.

I really do not know what you mean by a external device, however the CNC machine is a 5 axes, together with a computer and the controller integrated. Probably it will be good if you check the following page:

 This is precisely the machine I am talking about.
Unfortunately, this machine was sent to me with no owner’s manuals, and no information al all about the machine itself and the type of controller.
I really appreciate all information on this matter.

Recently I have acquired a CNC, the Artisian Model with Mach 3.  Now, the software is displaying the following message:
No devices were identified during USB port scan, please check connections and try again. Sometimes unplugging the USB and plugging back will help. Please Exit Mach and try again.
Nothing seems to work, even if I reset the software   and the computer.
And suggestions?
