I found that the XP emulation had poor performance and ended up loading a 32 bit version of windows 7 on the machine as an alternate operation system.  It works flawlessly.

Not sure this belong here, but this looks like you might know the answer.   I've set up my virtual xp machine and loaded Mach3 now I'm trying to read files (g code) on another computer on the network.  The real machine is able to get to the files, but not the virtual version.

I'm guessing its a firewall or network setting that's missing.  Any thoughts?

Jim.

Alum yes, only soft stuff right now.

Worked over the machine and decided mechanically it was as good as it gets and tried the software adjustments to backlash.  Attached is the new piece.  So much better.  Thanks to all.

Jim.

Sorry if this was covered in another thread.

I have a Syil X2 mill and a Mach 3 controller.  I used Bobcad to draw an arc and when I cut it, it has a odd spot at the top of the curve. Do I have play in the system or some other problem?  The lower arc is being cut from right to left and the upper left to right.

Please see attached photo.

Thanks,

Jim.
