Post Processors / Mastercam X5???
« on: September 15, 2011, 06:37:07 PM »
I can't believe there is no official Mastercam Post. It's ridiculous, really!
I used the one that is floating around but it has some problems.

FAQs / X & Y tool offsets ???
« on: April 25, 2011, 08:34:07 PM »
I have a router with 4 heads and 2 drill spindles.
Each router head is 12" apart. I have been coding in the offset for the different heads with mastercam.
It's a pain in the neck tohave to go in and set that parameter everytime and if you forget well then yyour part gets messed up.

My question is is there away to set an x & Y offset for T2, T3, T4, T5, etc...

I know I can set the Z offset but I need to set the X & Y also. How can I do the in Mach3? I want to be able to do it with work offset 1, G54.

I have an older large CNC Router with 4 Heads and two piggy back drills.
What is the best way to handle switching to the various spindles or piggy back drills?

Mike,

That big ol Shinx is is working real good but I don't think the motors are tuned.

I would like to see any AxisWorks video ASAP.  Andy at Machmotion told me he was going to do a video of AxisWorks.

Thanks

dspMC/IP Motion Controller / Going with Machmotion
« on: July 13, 2009, 09:45:14 PM »
I decided to buy from Machmotion since I need support and also Vital Systems recommends them, Machmotion, since they are experienced with the controller.

http://www.machmotion.com/Parts-&-Accessories-Analog-Systems/c36_51/p139/Interpreter-1000/product_info.html

It's the  dspMC/IP all decked out.

I should have the new controller in a few days.

Galil / Re: Galil 2133 or DSPMC/IP Motion Controller?

:'( Lord have mercy! I want to thank you guys for all your help. I'll get this bugger going, a lot of this is new to me I'm just trying to find the shortest path to the promised land. The programming software is Fuji Flex, I have found a copy with a programmer for the eprom for approx $250. About the RTU Modbus I don't know I'll find out, it's not easy determining this information for a newbie like me.

I have the manual with the M-codes for the various operations the PLC performs. For example If I want to use spindle 3 at 18000 rpms the code is listed for that and all the other functions.

Yes I do need to be able to turn the Vacuum on via the controller. No tool changer.

I use Mastercam X3, can that handle posting the M codes?

Thanks for all the help.
