General Mach Discussion / Re: Strange translation between paths

Nevermind, I found it. I just replaced the servo for that axis and it came with the pulley already mounted on it but the set screws weren't tight.

General Mach Discussion / Strange translation between paths
« on: May 19, 2013, 10:50:32 PM »
Hi All:

I've been using Mach3 since 2008. My log says something like 2500 hours. I generate G-Code using ProEngineer's Pro/NC.

I'm cutting a simple rectilinear logo that is designed to be CNC friendly. Its 4 letters and a border. The Pro/NC package allows me to simulate the cutting path 2 ways. The first is a simple tool center path and the other is a material removal sim. Both look good. When I load the G-code into Mach 3 it looks right. However, between letters there is a huge translation in one axis that I can't explain.

While writing this post, it occurred to be that I have the Baud rate turned up a notch. Let me try that.

In the meantime, any ideas?
