LazyCam (Beta) / LCam still has minor problem
« on: September 10, 2007, 09:53:24 PM »
Hi guys: I just checked out the latest version of LC and I see that the problem I posted in June is still there. Just a reminder Brian, please fix when you get a chance. My machine spends a lot of time cutting air because of it.

Thanks and have a good one.

LazyCam (Beta) / Minor problem

Hi guys; I'm trying to make two pockets (Slots really) in a piece of .375 material. The "outer" slot is .250 deep and then the "inner"  slot goes through the material. To save some moves I tried setting the "Start Cut" of the inner slot to -.250 after the outer has been routed. As you can see in the attached screenshot LC acts like it Start Cut parameter is always a positive value. Setting Start Cut to 0 produces the expected result.

Have a good one.

Hmmm, I just installed 2.0.065 of Mach3 and the LazyCam version is listed as 2.0.060. Does not work here, same problem. I wouldn't mind trying the Beta of LazyCam but can't seem to get logged in to the FTP site. Thanks so much for the help.

Hi; I tried exporting in both r12 and 2000 dxf format. Still loads into Lazycam the same.

Hi guys; Here are 2 screen shots. One of the autocad file I want to cut and a second of the LazyCam import. Anyone know why this is happening? I've been messing around with this on and off for a week now and haven't made any progress. :-\

Thanks and have a good one.
