General Mach Discussion / Need Estop Output
« on: December 28, 2014, 12:08:41 PM »
I need a way to have an output go active when Estop is triggered. As far as a I know, all outputs are turned off when Estop becomes active. If I define Estop Output as active low  then I suppose I could set an unused output to active high. When Mach is running the output will be high and when it Estops is will go low. This also works for when Mach is not running because it seems that my parallel port has all its outputs set to high upon system boot (something I would like to change if I could figure out how). What I would really like is for there to be a way within Mach to do this "officially".

General Mach Discussion / Re: Live Video Window

OK, so I messed with this some more and when I tried to run the ap that came with the camera, that used to work, it had a frozen image of the banner from one of the apps. I uninstalled both parts of the webcam app and now bot the video window for Mach3 and the PluginCameraV2.11 work )along with everything else). I have no idea what fixed the problem but it now works so I am happy. Thanks for your help!

I downloaded and installed PluginCameraV2.11 and it reports "no camera found". I downloaded and installed YAWcam (a webcam app) and it works fine. I don't know if it matters but this is an 8 MP camera and like I said it works fine with Win 7 32 in Mach.

I am going to resurrect this thread because I have a camera on Win 7 64 that works with the applet that it comes with. It finds and uses the generic USB 2.0 Camera device. However when I try to connect to it with Mach 3 I get the same error as the OP: "Video OCX (VIDEO) - Driver can't be connected."  I have to believe this is a Mach 3 bug. BTW - This same camera works fine on a Win 7 32 system in Mach 3.

Mach3 and G-Rex / Re: artcode 200702

I presume that you have solved this by now but since I am encountering the same problem as I develop my custom plugin I also presume it means that you have a corrupted plugin in your Mach3\PlugIns directory. You can move them all out and verify that you can start Mach3 then move them back in one at a time to see which (if any) is causing the problem. At this moment I have no idea what the error code means and I can't fin't the error codes documented anywhere.

Yep, that did it. Something to look for if it isn't working for you.

Actually I may have figured it out. The system I am playing with is running Mach3 in demo mode. I'll get it licensed the try again.

Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / NFS Wizard not showing as licensed
« on: February 10, 2010, 06:25:06 PM »
I purchased the NFS Wizard and Mach Support emailed me the license file which I copied to the Mach3 root directory. I can open the Wizard and do whatever I want and then post the code. However when I click exit to Mach the code window shows "Unlicensed Wizard File" with no G-code. Is there something elase I need to do?

I updated to the latest development version of Mach3 and the latest beta driver for the Smoothstepper and the problem went away.

Mach3 under Vista / Error when trying to run Mach3 under Vista
« on: October 12, 2008, 09:23:14 PM »
I have a SmoothStepper board and have SmoothStepper_Beta2_v015me.m3p installed with 3.042.014 and I get the follwong error when Mach3 loads:

Error Found Art Code 9991 Attempting Recovery
Error Triggered

When I click Yes I get this message again. When I click No I get the following message:

Mach4
Error Stopping Timer

The only choice is No and when I click that I get The above error message.

The only thing I can do is kill the application in Task Manager but it starts all over when I restart Mach3.
