Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / "Cut Keyway" Issues (2.82)
« on: March 16, 2009, 10:57:15 AM »
  I have found that the above NFW (2.82) does not "turn on" the spindle or coolant when posting to my Tormach. The feed and speed info is correct on the Mach screen. Eveything else works fine.

  Is this a known issue? Does this also occur w/ other Wizards?

Hi Ron,

Thanks for the custom Tormach upgrade. I have installed it and, so far, everything works fine.

Best regards:

Hi All,

About two months(!) ago there was talk of an updated NFS release for Tormach users:

     "I will add a version here later that I will call V2.79T that has that fix."

Has this been released yet?

Best regards;

Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / Updates?
« on: May 21, 2008, 05:54:50 PM »
Hi all;

I'm a new Tormach owner with some questions regarding feature/bug updates for my NFS wizards. My system came w/ version 2.72 of the wizards - I see you-all are up to 2.78 now.

 How do I go about downloading an updated version for my Tormach version of Mach3?

Is there a site that explains the history of revisions and make available the newest version?

 There are some "features" of the wizards that are a nuisance - like the removal of spindle and coolant start commands if the tool# is not changed each time. Are their workarounds for this?

I downloaded the manual - definitely a help, but some terms are not well explained like "lead" and "pitch" for ramping.

Overall, these wizards are great! After reading the forum messages I'm nominating Ron and Brian for sainthood...
