Hi Hood,
I looked in the processes and it doesn't seem to be running, i've also tried the mach loader and that just does the same thing.
When the belt broke i got bored and loaded a *cough* copy of 3dsmax onto my pc, i have since removed it.
I have Xp and would like to do a system restore, how exactly do i do that, sorry i'm not the most PC proficient person  :'(.

Good point, now that i think of it the warning sound i mentioned is actually the sound that Mach3 makes on startup, however i still can't find it anywhere to click on, so maybe it is running but i just can't maximise it. Weird

Ok, I've re-installed Mach3mill,plasma & loader, none of them are working. I still only get a windows beeping sound and no explanation for the sound, it simply doesn't load it up ???

Hi Hood,

Yes i've had Mach 3 running for a few months now.
Basically the drive belt on my cnc machine broke and i had to wait 2 weeks for the belt to arrive from America, so Mach 3 was idle for those 2 weeks. When i set the machine back up with the new belt and tried to start Mach 3 it just wouldn't start up.

I'll try re-installing it and see how that goes,
Thanks.

For some reason Mach 3 won't start when i click on the desktop icon, all it does is make a kind of warning sound, anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,
Paulie.

Fellas, i finally got it working,it was like the truman show, the problems were - the wiring inside the z axis motor was dodgy and loose, don't ask me how, the control board for the z axis was fried, again, i haven't got a clue, thankfully i had purchased a 5 axis control system but was only planning on using 4 so i had a spare, i'm now up and running, thanks a million for your help. Hopefully i'll post something in the look and tell thread in a couple of months.

Paulie

Afternoon fellas,

I finally have everything working, all the axes, however there is still one small issue, the Z axis only works in one direction. I've tried assigning the other pins to it but it still only goes in one direction, any ideas as to what else could be up?

You will get it working, thats a guarantee, but how many hoops you have to jump through first is up for bets :D

Hood

Hopefully not too many more, i don't want to get pissed off with her, she'd be worth a few bob for scrap metal, i'll give her a week tops to get her sh*t together, after that its gonna be taig chainsaw massacre.
