FAQs / Re: Laptop requirements with Mach 3
« on: April 15, 2008, 05:50:37 PM »
I'm in the process of trying to get a Dell C610 to work with no success.  Timing out off the driver tests are all over the place.  I killed all unecessary processes with no change in results.

General Mach Discussion / Re: Current Hi/Low discrete
« on: January 11, 2008, 11:51:42 PM »
Thanks,
Actually I'm assuming that the signal changes state when it is issuing step pulses, and changes state when it stops.  I was wanting to know how much time delay was there.  Specifically when changing state from low current to high current how long after does the fist step pulse happen?

General Mach Discussion / Current Hi/Low discrete
« on: January 06, 2008, 02:01:17 PM »
On the output's there is a current hi/low signal that can be mapped.  I didn't find anything on it in the manual.  Is there somewhere I can find the relationship of the timing of that signal to step activity, or G-code execution?

Thanks,
 Phil

General Mach Discussion / Machine configuration file

If you want to move a machine to another computer, is there a file that has the machine definition that needs to be copied, or do you have to set it up all over again?

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 and screen saver, Problem?
« on: September 05, 2006, 08:13:47 PM »
Is there an issue when Mach3 is running and the screen saver comes on automatically?  A CNCzone user reported that as his problem fix.  And I think I may have witnessed the same thing several times last week ringing out a friends machine.

General Mach Discussion / Virtual limits verses physical absolute position
« on: September 04, 2006, 06:20:47 PM »
Probably a stupid question, but if you don't ask.....
Stepper router, x, y and z.   No mechanical feedback on position.

I'm setting x,y,z Zero's each time i do a part, based on how I position the part on the table.  I'm wondering if Mach3 has two corridinate systems it keeps track of.  By that I mean one set that I zero based on the part, a second based on what the machine tracks from the home positions.

Thanks,
 phil
