Brains Development / Dumb question - Chip removal trigger problem
« on: May 28, 2009, 06:23:44 PM »
Hi All,

I am trying to learn more about scripting and programing but have a long way to go.

My problem is this.

I need to be able to trigger an output for chip vac when my spindle is triggered but still be able to turn it off via a button.

By watching the Brains video I was quickly able to figure out how to make the chip vac come on when my spindle was active.  Problem is I can't shut it off via a button while the spindle is going.

I know to most of you guys this is probably remedial level stuff but I am "Brainless" when it comes to this stuff.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

That was easier than I thought.  Thanks for your response.

Screen designer tips and tutorials / Single Line GCode window
« on: May 26, 2009, 05:31:55 PM »
Hi all,

I did a search and came up empty so hopefully this has not been previously answered.

I am creating a screen and would like to have only the currently executed (normally highlighted white) GCode line displayed.
When I try to scale the GCode window the text gets tiny.

Is it possible

Thanks

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I could not find anything via search.

I have found a 16 input (emulator style) 16 output led output (RGB support) device called a ledwiz.
http://groovygamegear.com/webstore/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=82&products_id=306

This device is USB and supports PWM intensity. Using RGB LEDs (common anode), theoretically 110,592 colors are possible.

Price is $39.95. It gets it's power via usb and reports like a gamepad for the purpose of input.

I thought it would be awesome if this device could be accessed via mach3 (brains possibly).  I know the input portion would be doable with keygrab
but I don't know how the led control would we be implemented.

This is beyond my ability so I thought I would put it out there for anyone who might see it's potential.
