I've got a couple of questions concerning the Ajax CNC Kit for $995.00 (3rd. party drive with PLC)
These questions are intended as out-of-the box from your kit.
1. Is this kit ready to run all 4 axis?  On your website, it looks like the 4th axis is an option in this kit.
2. Will Mach 3 run all of its original features without any degradation from the Ajax kit?
3. Can differential encoders with index pulse be used especially for, homing to index?
4. Will this kit allow me to use an off-the-shelf MPG?
5. What is the Maximum part program file size allowed?
6. Does this kit provide any optical  isolation especially for I/O and encoders?

Thank you,
Metalstech

I also was very impressed with the service from AnTek! John really came thru with follow-up on his product!  Upon delivery of my new power supply the outboard rectifier module was damaged during abusive shipping. When I had called AnTek and spoke to John he sent me a  new module and a fuse module at NO COST TO ME!
Thats what I call OUTSTANDING service!
Thank you again to those at AnTek!
Sincerely, Metalstech

Metalstech here,   Mach 3 will run these drives once they are configured to work in step and direction. The drives can run in analogue, +10Vdc  -10Vdc also. The web site for these drives is:www.a-m-c.com In order to reconfigure or view the set-up of these drives you will need a CAN to PC interface. I am still trying to figure out the differences between the different models. The break-out board makes it safer and easier to make the connections to your PC.  I hope this helps, Metalstech

Third party software and hardware support forums. / AMC Digiflex Drives

???I am looking for info on AMC Digiflex drives:DX15C08C-GE1, or ending in GE2 and GE3.
What are the differences between the models GE1, GE2, GE3 ??? I called Advanced Motion Controls tech people and they can't release that type of info due to OEM sanctions. I'm hoping somebody out here like a technician or wizard knows something about these drives. Also need info on how to configure without access to a CAN " Control Area Network"
Thanks,
John

Howdy !

Everyone calls me Johnboy. I recently retired working with the U.S. Air Force after almost 30years as an aircraft machinist and welder.
I've recently purchased an 86 Bridgeport Interact I with an intermittently working Heidenhain 150B controller. I've purchased Mach 3, but have not installed yet ???  Too many question and options to go with yet. I really wanted a closed loop system! I need analogue output for my Bosch drives. + - 10 Volts. Still looking for the hardware.  I'm not sure if I want the Vital Systems #7451 MOTENC-Lite Board or The new USB CNC Brain. I'm looking forward to learning alot more about the electronic hardware end of the CNC arena.
Enjoyed the forum and many future chats.

Thanks, Johnboy
