Newfangled Solutions Mach3 Wizards / Newfangled wizards editing.
« on: May 22, 2012, 09:57:12 PM »
I have been using these Wizards for some time and for the most part, they are a great way to create a part without the use of a dedicated CAD/CAM. What I would like to see is the option to delete any operation that you have created using the Wizards. As it stands now the only option that you have is to delete the last operation that you have created. If you are developing a part using the Wizards and you want to refine a certain feature of the part you have to delete the previous operation until you get to the feature that you want and then edit the parameters in the specific Wizard. It would make much more sense and much less work if you could select the Wizard you want to delete instead of scrolling back and deleting each Wizard in your program/part/g-code.

General Mach Discussion / Latest version of Mach3
« on: May 04, 2011, 12:08:49 AM »
Just downloaded newest lockdown version of Mach and noticed on the diagnostics screen that the pulse frequency was not very stable. It jumped from 1 to 387 and anywhere in between. I understand that this should be reading what your kernel speed is set at (which is set at 25,000 kHz). Should this be something to be concerned about or something I should not be worried about? The reason for the update to Mach was because my machine was acting very peculiar. The Z axis would plunge into the part on my 4th axis and my 4th axis would rotate when not commanded to. Another time (cutting a spur gear) the y axis would loose position and then cut much too deep on the next cycle. This only a hobby for me and I cannot afford to keep replacing damaged cutters and material if this can all be avoided.

Thanks,

General Mach Discussion / spindle speed control
« on: November 27, 2007, 01:43:20 AM »
Hello. First post here, so be gentle. I have been using Mach3 on my Taig mill for quite some time. Everthing seems to work OK except the speed control. I have a DC motor being controlled by a KBIC control board. I also have a CNC4PC BOB feeding a Xylotex driver. I can turn the relay on the BOB for spindle on/off via Mach3 but I can not make the spindle turn. I believe I have everything set up in Mach to do this but Mach does not seem to output a signal to the BOB. I have pin 14 set for the spindle step. In MDI in Mach3 I enter M3S100 and I hear the relay on the BOB activate but the spindle does not rotate and pin 14 does not turn on (LED on BOB). I have followed the instructions on the manual for the CNC4PC BOB to the letter. I have gone through ports and pins, spindle setup, output pins everything I can think of, to no avail. I have even tried downloading a new version of Mach3 with no success. I am at my wits end and I need your help please.
