General Mach Discussion / Need a jump start

Hi,
I've been playing with the idea of making a CNC lathe from scratch ala "Stevie on CNCzone. I've even gathered parts for it.
The other day I ran across this (go to the "Using the Taig CNC mill as a VMC" and view the video)

That is exactly what I want to do with the lathe. If I could get my mill to do that I would not need a CNC lathe.

Problem is I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around exactly how to get that done.
I'm weak on tool offsets and how they all work but think I can figure out the rest of it.

Can anyone give me a jump start on that?
I've been looking thru the videos and haven't found one that makes it "click".

General Mach Discussion / Rotary table question

Hey all,
I'm using a rotary table to do some parts by turning 60 degrees at a time and milling a small hole at each stop.
Problem is when I'm done with the part I've been commanding the rotary to go back to 0 so for each part I'm making two turns of the rotary table.
I'm thinking there has got to be a better way.
Can I reset the DRO or something to keep from having to turn all the way back to 0 each time?

Using a Taig mill with Xylotex board on 4 axis.

Should I set it for Constant Volecity or Exact Stop in Motion Mode?

What does Motion Mode control?
