General Mach Discussion / New "Assist" button in LazyCam
« on: January 05, 2008, 05:08:33 PM »
Hi and thanks in advance for your help,

I downloaded the new LazyCam Rev 3 yesterday and there is a new button, "Assist",  which seems to have no function.  I tried it in several simple drawings and it doesn't seem to do anything.  Also searched the forum without success.  Anyone know what it does?

BTW,  I love LC and have been using it a lot since I got it about 2 months ago.

Thanks,

Harvey Price   ;D

Any help appreciated.

Couldn't find this in a search here.  I installed a ShuttlePro2 in Mach3 for my CNC Bridgeport clone.  The hardware manager says it is working, but none of the programmed buttons (ie jog on/off) are transmitted to the screen or have any effect.  It has been configured in the plugin config. None of the buttons have any effect on the screen or to the mill.

The same SP2 seems to work fine on my other computers, (not hooked up to a mill).  These are the latest versions of Mach2 and the SP2 plugin. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Thanks,
Harvey Price  :(

FAQs / Unable to config Mach3 with Cambell breakout board
« on: September 30, 2007, 12:14:48 AM »
Hi all,
Any help appreciated.  I have up and running fine a BP clone, with Campbell Breakout board and Gecko 201's.  But...the X and Y axes are reversed even thought the wiring is correct.  When I correct that by either changing them in Mach3 or by swapping the wires, then the hot keys for jogging X and Y are reversed and the Mach three will let me change the designated hot keys in the software, but the changes are somehow not transmitted and the hot keys remain reversed.  Even if I start from the other direction and correct the hot keys first, then the X and Y remain reversed when I run Mach3's sample programs, with the Y axis moving when a x move is commanded in the program. I have repeatedly re installed the xml file from campbell, and even re installed the latest revision of Mach 3.

Thanks in advance for any help, what am I missing?
