General Mach Discussion / PWM inverter for 12 VDC motor
« on: August 28, 2007, 05:20:29 AM »
Hello everybody!

I have 12VDC spindle motor. Can you point me to a good PWM inverter which can be controlled by Mach3 (speed an direction)?
Thank you in advance

General Mach Discussion / set up for two different machines
« on: March 08, 2007, 06:01:26 AM »
Hello Everybody!
I’m going to build another CNC machine, and I’d like to control both machines by the same Mach 3 software  . My question, is it possibly easily change set up between two machines? The machines have absolutely different controllers, lead screw, purpose and so on. Can I change set up during start up of Mach 3?
Thank you in advance
Vladimir

General Mach Discussion / PCB milling
« on: September 01, 2006, 03:24:15 PM »
Hello everybody! I have far-fetched question for this forum. I noticed some guys using Mach 3 for PCB milling, my questions for them. What king of end mills you use for this job? As I understand, it should be some kind of very high RPM carbide end-mills. Please inform me about suppliers of all this stuff and carbide drills also.
Thank you in advance

LazyCam (Beta) / Lazy Cam demo limits
« on: August 24, 2006, 06:31:47 PM »
Hello everybody. I’m trying to import HPGL file from Eagle PCB making software. Everything works well except one thing. Lazy Cam displays all traces of a board correct regardless of complexity of PCB, but generated G Code is limited 1000 lines.
What is it, error or demo limits?   I played with different designs and always had the same result. Please inform me, what limit LAZY CAM demo version has.

General Mach Discussion / Assign commands to joystick
« on: May 30, 2006, 08:49:05 AM »
Hello everybody!
Recently I bought Logitech wireless joystick, and after couple days of fighting I install it properly on Mach 3. Now it works perfectly. The joystick has a lot of pushbuttons and it tempts me to assign Mach commands to them.
My question is: does anybody know how to assign GOTO Z (go to zero, or zeroing all axis) command to a joystick? If “yes” please let me know.
Thank you in advance Vladimir.

LazyCam (Beta) / Lazy CAM problem
« on: May 16, 2006, 02:19:37 AM »
Hello everybody!
I found a bug in Lazy CAM. When I go to File menu then Open Image File (JPG/BMP) Windows reject Lazy CAM and gives message about wrong operation.  I included message generated by Windows about this problem. When I used previous version of Mach3 without embedded Lazy Cam but with unnamed CAM software I never had such problems. What is it might be?

General Mach Discussion / PCB making
« on: May 12, 2006, 04:30:09 AM »
Hello everybody. Does anyone know software, which can generate G-code for PCB making? I know, some companies produce CNC milling machines with PCB making capabilities, and they offer software for this job. Unfortunately price for such program product is too high for “backyard hobbyist”.
I will be appreciating for any good advices.

LazyCam (Beta) / Drilling holes in PCB
« on: April 27, 2006, 03:50:47 PM »
Hello everybody! I need to produce PCB (printed circuit board). Program  (Express PCB) generates DXF file for holes and masks.  When I downloaded DXF file in Lazy Cam everything looks beautiful, but Lazy Cam treats holes like circles and basically engraved them on a board instead drilling. Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
Thank you in advance
Vladimir
