General Mach Discussion / erratic behaviour after customizing screen
« on: November 08, 2013, 06:36:05 AM »
Hi All,

A friend helped me customizing my Machturn screen , sometime after that my steppers started acting in a strange erratic way.

After some experimenting it shows that running a program in the customised screen caused erratic steppers  but running the same program while in the diagnostics screen my steppers are behaving ok.

This is out of our league , i have attached  my screenfile can somebody please  help  out???

Thanks   Mark

General Mach Discussion / waiting/calculation time inbetween passes
« on: March 05, 2013, 07:01:32 AM »
Hi Guys,

I am looking for a solution for my problem:

At the end of each pass  my tool is not moving for lets say half a second : this causes extra wear of my tools. (using g01 codes)

(Mach3 seems to need some execution/calculation time before starting the next pass)

Do i need a faster computer or can i use a command/change settings  that speeds things up?

thanks
Mark

General Mach Discussion / mach3 loses contact
« on: March 21, 2012, 02:44:04 PM »
Hi All,

I am working with Mach3 for 4 years with no major issues.

Now in jog mode (and program mode as well)  M3 is loosing contact with its steppingmotors after a few seconds/steps (random) .

After each try the steppers start for a short while/distance and then stop with no obvious reason.

Grateful for any help..

Mark

General Mach Discussion / Output noise over 1,14,16 and 17
« on: December 30, 2007, 10:58:07 AM »
I run a dedicated Mach3-only computer , Xp-optimised, with a Breakoutboard.

With  Mach3  already started , i switch on the power to the breakoutboard.

Then i hear a electrical noise that makes my outputs  1,14,16,17 outputrelays  come on  and off
mostly with seconds interval but sometimes with a higher frequency.

It sounds just  like the earlier days parrallel printer initializing at switch on.

It Takes the system a fewl minutes to settle down, and then all is Ok.

As i use the outputs for spindle-control , i am looking for a cure....

General Mach Discussion / Homing direction problem
« on: December 08, 2007, 01:27:39 PM »
Hi All,

I would like to reverse my homing direction.

When i the check/uncheck the reverse-option in homing/limits :  this automatically changes the (plus/minus)  direction of the axis.

Is there a option to change my homingdirection without changing axisdirection as well?

Kind Regards

General Mach Discussion / Entering HotKey numbers
« on: November 25, 2007, 12:30:57 PM »
Hi All,

I use Mach3Turn V2.6 and  in   Engineconfiguration- Inputsignals,  i am trying to enter a Hotkeynumber

When i do, i get a Popupscreen witch tells me to hit a Key.

What i want is, just to  enter a number like 1000 or 1003 etc; this seems to be unable.

Can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong???

Thanks

Hi All,

Have found a good setup for my Lathe in combination with programming  via my Cadcam;  but unfortunately in the Mach3-Turn Jog-screen, the  Xjog buttons are not in the right place for me.

In critical situations i find it extremely hard to find the right button, because my fisical direction is is just opposit of the button location on the Jog-screen.

Because i am a absolute Nono in Pc-programming my Question:

Is there someone able and willing to change the Mach3-Turn  Jog-screen for me ?

Would be really fantastic if somebody could  build  a screen for me where he puts the  JogX++ on top. and the  JogX--in bottom location.

Big Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Problem setting up an xy table onto a Lathe
« on: September 14, 2007, 03:58:54 PM »
Hi All,

Some years ago In The Netherlands there was a company named Style that sold CNC-controlled  X-Y tables that could be retrofitted
onto a conventionally Lathe, and came with its own software.

The company stopped selling these units.
I still own one of these and would like to use it with Mach3turn.

I have fitted one onto my Lathe and found my axis being not exactly parralel to the centreline of the rotary axis.

As an exact mechanically setup of the table is very difficult to do my Question is ;

Is there a way Mach3turn can compensate for this ?

Regards From The Netherlands
