Mach4 General Discussion / TouchOff UI problem

Hello,

I have a CNC machine that I am controlling with Mach4 (build 4612) and ESS 275 plugin. When I use the Touchoff UI, it works fine for finding each axis separately. However, when I try to do the combined ones, like the front left corner for example, it finds Z then it moves to Y negative direction and then I get this error:

"ERROR: No contact with probe"

I attached the History file.

Any idea what might be causing this problem?

General Mach Discussion / Switching from NC Studio to Mach3 or Mach4

Hello,

Happy New Year.

I am new to the forum. I have a 3 axis CNC Router that has NC Studio that I wan to switch to either Mach3 or Mach4. I was wondering what is a better option. I am not sure what to choose. There are mixed opinions on the internet about both of them. On one hand, Mach3 is getting outdated but somewhat reliable on the other hand, Mach4 is still not fully developed but it will have future support.

Since I will need a motion controller and a breakout board to do the switch, I am thinking about using the PoKeys57CNC. It looks like it eliminates the need for a breakout board (save some money ). Is this a good route? Any other recommendations?
