« on: January 25, 2020, 11:13:18 PM »
Hi All,

Is there a way to home just the Y axis.  Also my Y axis has a slave "A" attached.  How do I make sure they go back together ?

Thanks Steven

General Mach Discussion / wierd thing with motor movements
« on: January 18, 2020, 10:42:34 PM »
So I just got one new CNC Mach3 USB controller and 4 new drivers.  I got the DM542 drivers because my old once where making the stepper really noisy.  Anyway on to the weird thing.  If run a G-code like G0x100.  The x moves across to 100mm but the weird thing is sometimes another counter in Mach3 like Y or Z registers either 0.0050mm or -0.0050mm.  But the z/Y never moves.  Also when I say G0x0 the x goes back to 0 but it usually also registers 0.0050 or -0.0050. If I then say the command again to G0x0, nothing happens.

Any ideas ???

Mach3 under Vista / I need HELP !!
« on: December 21, 2019, 11:02:09 PM »
So forever I have been trying to get my cnc machine working. I am using mach 3. I have tried setting up the spped of the movement of the access of anywhere between 800 and 1200mm per minute. I have also made my acceloration between 5 and 10% the speed. When I manually tell the x or the x or the z to move it all seems fine. But when I run a small program with lots of moves the machines has lots of problems and I loose steps and the machine seems to shutter. I am running the steppers at 1/2 step and have the step and dir pulse set at 15 each. I have 3 power supplies,1 for each y and 1 total for the x and z. I also have a separate 24 volt one for the Break out board, I do notice that the voltage starts to go down on the powere supples as they go on. Any ideas ????
