General Mach Discussion / hypertherm intermittent cuts

My Hypertherm 1000 with a Mach 3 controller and an M60 machine torch randomly stops and starts during a cut.  Cleaned air filters, new consumables, speed set at 150 ipm for 16 gauge material.  I get a red fault light which goes out during the cut and the torch starts cutting again.  When I use the hand torch the machine cuts with no problems.  I understand that upgrading to a Duromax machine torch for this machine is a desirable upgrade but if something is wrong with the machine a mew machine torch wouldn't solve the problems
