Mach4 General Discussion / Ref all home
« on: April 21, 2023, 12:39:51 PM »
This a new problem for my CNC router, When I select ref all home, the machine goes through the correct homing sequence but now all axis move to the home switch, make contact, back off of the switch one inch and then the axis creep back to the switch, makes contact and backs off the switch again one inch. then, my machine coordinates are 0, my soft limits are X -2.4921 X -0.8018 and Z -1.3268.
I unchecked the Auto Zero in Home/Soft limits and then ref all home and the axis do the same movements.

Thank you

I have 24 volt dc output switching power supply to power my (diy router) cnc electronics, stepper motors, ect.
The power supply shorted out two of the transistors on the circuit board. I have since replaced the power supply and now my limit switches will not activate in Mach 3 program. Checked all the switches, wiring and settings in Mach 3 configuration ports and pins. When I open Mach 3, the reset button is flashing, Emergency mode Active, Status says: Driver Successfully installed. Open Diagnostics and all my limit switch boxes are yellow. When I hit the re-set button, the message clears. I hit my limit switches and they do not activate emergency stop. Also, ref-all-home will not work, machine will not travel to home position. The stepper motors work.
Has the power supply damaged my Mach 3 program or computer? I don't know what else to do....

Thanks

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 gcodes file
« on: February 03, 2019, 09:35:22 AM »
Hello
I had to stop my initial set up of Mach3 for my cnc router due to illness and
I'm re-learning how to set up Mach3 by following the set up videos.

My Mach3 folder gcodes files have disappeared, the folder is present but, when I open it the only file listed is "new drawing" and no code. The road runner gcode file I wanted is gone.  The Mach3 gcode file was OK before.
I found another file of gcodes but, they are .tap extension files.
How do I get the Mach3 gcode file back? I don't know what I did to cause this issue.
I have a valid Licensed Mach3 program.

Thanks
Jon Rodriguez
