NC Pod / Program changing between machines
« on: March 31, 2021, 01:03:57 PM »
I have Mach 3 installed on two machines. One I use for developing the Gcode and the other is installed on a PC connected to my CNC.  Both have Mach 3 Ver: R3.043.062 installed. The PC connected to the CNC has the plugin for NC Pod installed.   I was using CamBam to create my gcode and on the development PC, looks and runs great. When I op3en the gcode on my CNC PC, a large circle appears and is totally wrong.  I am at a total loss as to why the exact same gcode is interpreted differently. Any suggestions would be most welcome.  I've attached pictures of the issue.

General Mach Discussion / Ref All Home
« on: March 21, 2021, 06:01:24 PM »
Hi,

I've set up my home position for X,Y,Z.....set up my soft limits just shy of the limit switches, entered all the values into Motor Home/Soft Limits, (X - Soft Max 700, Y - Soft Max 740, Z - Soft Max 0) (X - Soft Min 0, Y - Soft Min 0, Z - Soft Min -8).  X & Y are set to Home Negative. When I select Machine Coord's and press Ref All Home, the Z-axis starts going into the negative direction and never stops, (I turned off the stepper for the Z-axis), and subsequently the X and Y axes never ref home either.  Not sure what setting might be affecting this, just set the machine up after a rewiring job. everything works ok with the keyboard and remote controller, I just can't seem to set the Machine Coord's to the home position...  Any thoughts?

G-Code, CAD, and CAM discussions / G-Code bad character used
« on: January 24, 2019, 09:37:37 PM »
I created a foil pattern for an electronic circuit in Eagle, sent the gerber file to copper cam on line, and received the attached g-code. When I loaded it up in Mach 3, get the error of bad character used and can see it in my Mach 3 code window. But when I open it in note pad, hippo edit, or multi-edit, am at a loss to display them. If I delete a line of comment, reload it into Mach 3, it just shows up on the first line. Any ideas what the problem is? I've attached the gcode file and a screen capture of the Mach 3 window.
