Hey, guys. I decided to finish some scripts for probing. These scripts will find use mainly on larger machines with ATC spindles, or machines equipped with automatic tool change.

The first one is M101 - tool measurement.
This macro can only be run from the MDI or from a program, e.g. after a tool change, with this command.
The script works fully automatically with tools with a smaller diameter than the probe seating area. For larger tools, operator intervention is required.
It is also necessary that the tool diameter in the tool table agrees with the reality.
When the cycle is finished, the system is reset to the state before it was started (spindle on, cooling, offsets...). You don't have to think about anything. The script thinks of everything for you.

Feel free to ask anything you are interested in right here.

P.S. I will also post the script for checking the cutter edge soon.

CS-Lab / setting up CSMIO/IP-S and mach4
« on: December 23, 2018, 10:48:33 AM »
Hello, I have CSMIO / IP-S | 6-axis Motion Controller (STEP / DIR), Ethernet. I want to use it for mach 4, but I do not know how to attach stepper motors. In mach3, the STEP / DIR connection is directly in the mach configuration. On another machine I use ESS with mach4 and there is a STEP / DIR connected to the ESS configuration.

However, there is no STEP / DIR in the CSMIO configuration. How do I engage the engines?

Thanks for any ideas.
