Mach4 General Discussion / What happened to the MPG flyout in Mach4?

Greetings All,

I'm a member of the Rochester Makerspace (NY).

We just installed a new ESS Smoothstepper and Mach4 on our router and fired it up last night. We have been running Mach3 until now.

One of the first things I noticed was that the on-screen MPG no longer pops up when you hit the Tab key. Does that feature still exist in Mach4? If so I I see there's a Jog tab with the same functionality but a different interface. Is that the recommended replacement for the on-screen virtual device?

General Mach Discussion / Can't jog more than 1 axis at the same time.

Hi everyone,

I'm helping a friend set up his 6040 gantry CNC. It's been challenging to find all the information but we've managed to get the machine calibrated pretty close with good motion, limit switches, homing, soft limits all working properly.

Controlling the spindle via g-code is next.

However, I can't figure out how to get the Mach3 software to allow me to jog 2 or more axis at the same time. I know it's possible as I've used other CNC routers with Mach3 and can jog X, Y, & Z all simultaneously.

I've searched the forums and the Internet but can't find anything on this topic.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
