General Mach Discussion / MPG problem
« on: March 16, 2020, 09:59:24 AM »
Hey guys ,
I have a wired mpg from ebay I had hell getting this thing to work and with a lot of help from this fourm and a few others I was able to get it to work..... well I should use that word lightly the MPG moves the machine.. when I jog in any axis mach3 switches the axis to x everytime no matter what the MPG is set on and the res.( .1,.01,.001 ) dont work either they change on the flyout but the machine does not change. The other thing is it will only jog in the plus direction when I turn the wheeel counterclockwise it moves in the same direction . It feels like there is maybe a loose connection or something because it will work right for a second and then it will not do anything it is like it cuts in and out . Am i getting interference from something inside the controller box? Can anyone help I have had hell with this thing  >:(

Hello guys,
I recently purchased a mpg pendant from ebay it is the typical 4 axis jog pendant wired it does not have an enable button or a e stop all it has is the axis selector and x,y,z,a selector and the dial encoder. I have tried using every plugin , brain that I could find and nothing works . I have a hp a1140n desktop running windows xp pro with the 3.066 version of mach3 . I added a 2nd printer port and a c22 board . The problem is when mapped the keys/functions mach3 acts like it does not see the change so am I missing something or doing something wrong . Like I said I have tried every thing I can think of I have even went back and had all my wiring checked by someone else for a fresh set of eyes and it all looks right . Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to gain control of my axis selection and my resolution selection

Feature Requests / A help balloon
« on: December 28, 2019, 10:26:08 PM »
For the newbies it would help to have the help balloon....meaning if you are not sure about what the button does or what the function does you can just hold your mouse over that function and a short description of that function or button will do. And ofcourse have it in the settings to turn it on and off because the pros already know what all the buttons and functions do . That would be very helpful in brains , and have a index in brains or a help page to describe the function of what the brain you are writing is going to do ....for newbies

General Mach Discussion / machine cutting mirror image of program
« on: October 10, 2019, 03:21:35 PM »
Hey Guys im not sure if this has already been made into a post or not I couldnt find it... So here it is I am just now setting up my cnc milling machine after moving to a new house I had it all going good at the old location but now I have set my machine up and I wanted to do a test run so I made a simple program that engraved a name , I used mastercam to make the program and the name came out right in the back plot verify window , so i load the g code into Mach3 and do another test run above the part and I did a follow tool so it would show on the screen the tool path and everything checked out . I set my tool to the top of the part and run the program and the letters of the name are coming out upside down . Before when I had it setup at my other house it was not doing this so maybe when I unplugged the pc or the machine it may have lost some settings?? Can anyone help me out / has anyone else seen this before I am thinking it has something to do with my motor settings the dir/active low setting maybe ???? should it maybe have a green check or what ? When I push the controller joystick( xbox ) to the left the machine head goes to the right and when I push the joystick down it goes down , when i push the joy stick back the head goes towards the back so to me this is right can anyone please help !!!!!!!!!!!!!

FAQs / posting problem
« on: April 13, 2018, 12:37:08 PM »
I have mastercam x4 when I post a file and load it into mach3 some of the radius on the part are converted into very large arcs unlike the drawing . I double checked the drawing in mastercam and back plot  and it is right but when it gets to Mach3 the radius's not all of them but some of them are changed . has anyone else had this problem and what can I do to fix it ?

Feature Requests / Icons on the tool table
« on: April 13, 2018, 11:37:32 AM »
It really don't matter but if the tool table have endnills and drills rather than turning inserts for the icons that would be better than turning insert. I thought at 1st that the icon meant I was setting a turning tool but come to find out that is just there to show a tool
