Mach4 General Discussion / Pokeys 57cnc touch probe issue
« on: October 27, 2017, 11:56:39 PM »
Hello all,
I have a pokeys57cnc that I have on a 3axis mill with a collet spindle. I use DazTheGaz's tool change script to change tools accurately in programs. It works good most of the time. Every once in a while though it will ignore the probe input and try to drive through the touch plate. I have broken two pcb drill bits with this issue. It can do a whole program full of tool changes with no issues, then the next time running the same program, it will try to drive through on a tool change. It seems to not only be the M6 script though. Sometimes when using the touch sensor button on the main page, it will also try to drive through the touch plate. The input indicator is on when it is driving through so it is not like it has a bad connection.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? What more information do you need from me to try and figure this out? Is there anything that I need to check before running a sensor probe program?
Thanks,
PottieMouth

Mach4 General Discussion / Script not updating. Please help.
« on: August 17, 2017, 11:02:43 PM »
So someone is probably going to point out the obvious to me, but I can not figure it out.

I am trying to setup the tool changer M6 like @DazTheGas has in one of his videos. I am following it to the T.  The script works fine in debug and displays what it should. When I save, shutdown and re-open mach and try to MDI an M6 command, it still displays what the old script had in it.

How do I get mach to load the new M6 script?

Mach4 General Discussion / Probing after a manual tool change issue
« on: August 14, 2017, 10:32:55 AM »
So I have a pokeys57CNC that is working great for me. Nothing fancy, just a simple 3 axis router using a trim router for a spindle so I need to manually change all tooling. I use the probe for the first tool setup in the g-code and it works great. The issue arises with all subsequent tool changes. For the second tool change in the middle of the program, the program stops and tells me that it needs a tool change. The issue is that I can not jog or probe without stopping the program. The buttons are greyed out. So I usually stop the program and jog to a comfortable tool changing area. Tool gets changed and it needs to be probed again to offset Z axis. When I press the probe button for Z the machine does not move. I press the probe button again and it is like it hits a limit. The probing stops and the axis disable. Once I enable the machine again the probing will work again and I can use the 'start from this line' button to resume the program.

I am using fusion360 post processor for generic Mach 3 with all tools set to manual tool change and live tool is unchecked.

Please tell me there is a better way of doing this.
Thanks,
Phuk

PoKeys / Rough jogging...need help
« on: July 11, 2017, 08:10:13 PM »
Hello all, I am new to the forum. I recently upgraded from planetCNC software to mach4 with a pokeys57cnc board. I have the axis calibrated and moving, but when they are jogging, the axis are very jerky and rough. If I reference all home, the axis move smoothly. Not quite sure why jogging is rough. They ran smoothly with the other setup. The pokeys is connected via USB if that make a difference. Please let me know what other information you need.
Thanks,
James
