Mach3 under Vista / New computer to run Mach3

I have a small milling machine run off Mach3 controlled by an old dell laptop with windows7..
I would like to upgrade the computer and was wondering if I could use a PANASONIC TOUGHBOOK CF-D1 MK3 i5-6300U 2.40GHZ 16GB 1TB XENTRY running windows10.
The milling machine is connected to the laptop via a usb port.

Just for fun my son and I tried hooking up his new laptop with windows11 to the mill. He downloaded a demo version of Mach3. we set his laptop up with the same config setting as my old laptop. Mach3 loaded up and when you used the arrow keys the X & Y numbers changed on the screen but the milling machine didnt move. What could the reason for that be?

Any help would be most appreciated.

General Mach Discussion / Artcam to Mach3 4th axis

Can anyone give me some advice on cutting on my 4th axis on my CNC mill.
I have been trying to cut a ring in wax on my 4th axis, I did the drawing in Artcam the circumference of the outside of the ring (say 60mm) when I try to cut the ring in Mach3 it only cuts 3/4 the way around the ring not the full 369deg.
But if I stay a simple pattern in Cut2d at 360mm long it cuts the pattern the whole 360deg. Is there a setting or calculation I need to use to get the Artcam toolpath file to cut all the way around the ring.
My machine is a mini muscle cnc with a 4th axis added to it.
