Galil / "Use Master Command Pos" ???

On the "Axis setup" tab of the galil plugin for Mach3 there's some checkbox for each axis labeled "Use Master Command Pos". Those are not shown in the galil plugin manual (page 10) and I've searched everywhere but cannot find any info about this feature.

Well, my system is in fact working fine without that but I'm really curious about what those checkbox are doing. Anyone knows what this is for
