VB and the development of wizards / macro for adjusting jog speed

hi everybody,

i was searching and trying a lot but i cannot find the solution.

i have a xbox attached to mach3 and i want two custom macros to set the jog speed. one for 100% and one for 2%. each macro should be activated with a button press. that way i can jog with one hand only the 2 speeds.

i tried creating a macro:
Call SetOemDro(3,2)

that should set the jog speed to 2%. i named that macro M799.m1s and put it in the right folder. when i want to try to execute the macro from the MDI it says scripter compile error in m799.m1s.

could anybody help here?

hello,

i just purchased an older shuttle pro, the silver one. i saw somebody use it in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09HiUnPDeTY

i followed arts instruction pdf for installing the plugin and i tested before the shuttle and it works. however in the device manager it is not listed with the code that art says it would.

when i go on the config plugin screen for the shuttle i have the various options for the buttons. i used 3 for setx sety and setz. there are no options for the wheels. however nothings moves.

anybody could help?

General Mach Discussion / shuttle wheel setting fixed

hello all,

i am setting up my backlash settings and i want to change the shuttle wheel setting it is set to 0.004s and i cannot change it. 

if i type in like 0.5 and press enter, the general config tab closes. on reopening, the setting stayed at 0.004.

i have installed a xhc handwheel and  but i deactivated the plugin if that has anything to do with that.

anybody an idea what is happening here?

hi all,

one more problem with the estop.

i wired the estop switch to the bob and in the diagnostic screen the led flashes when estop is hit. other than that, nothing happens  , not even in mach3 with the estop button on the screen.

in my other mill i have a triple beast, there the machine stops.

it is a cheap chinease  bob (no charge pump) and leadshine amps. charge pump is not activated, no output activated so far.

am i right that i have to activate an output signal that then stopps the vfd and the motor amps? how can i get the mach3 estop button on the screen change its colour?

General Mach Discussion / connecting ground from bob to machine for touch plate?

hi all,

i just ordered the 2010 screen set and i want to add a touch plate on my machine.

since i dont want to clip the ground cable with a clamp to the router bit, is it safe to connect the ground from the BOB to the machine ( somewhere on the steel?)

General Mach Discussion / digitizing in mach3 with a usb camera

hi all,

i am looking for an easy way to digitize perimeters from paper templates. perimeter digitizing with probe it does not work, since the paper is too flat.

i thought one solution would be to use an usb camera and manually drive to some of the points of the paper template perimeter and save them in a text file. openening that in rhino and makeing a curve out of these points should work for me, i dont need high accuracy.

does someone now a script that will save the position to a text file? so the workflow would be :
setting zero point x and y
move to a position with jog control
save that point to a the textfile
go to next point
save it

and so on.

if someone has better ideas to solve that problem please let me know.
