Mach4 General Discussion / MDI button non responsive

Hi Guys,

If I start up Mach4, put say, G0 X0Y0 in the MDI box and hit cycle start, it works.

Once I run a script that I assigned to a button (for example, auto z tool) and go back to the MDI box and put something in there, nothing happens. I just get "Do MDI 1" in the Last Error box, but the machine does nothing ?

Any ideas ?

PoKeys / converting a chinese 6040

slowly busy converting my chinese 6040 to pokeys.

received my stepper drivers today and build a quick mock-up on a piece of MDF, running each stepper at 2.5A, so each has their own fan.



The machine already sounds better, so far very happy with this 

Two things I have noticed though, I now and again get a "buzz" from the motors when not moving. not always, if it buzzes and I tap the jog key, it stops.

Also, when I click "Go to Zero", they stop at X0.0031 Y0.0031 for example. Not always though, sometimes a different number, does not go to exactly 0.0000 ? Anyone else seen this ?

Anyway, so far very happy .. and also very quick shipping from the guys at Polabs, both orders pretty much arrived the next day almost !! Happy chappy !
