General Mach Discussion / Fusion 360 and mach3
« on: May 02, 2016, 07:36:05 PM »
 Hi

I have tried a few different post processors in Fusion 360 to work properly with mach3. But I have one issue that I think shouldn't be.

When the job is finished and it goes back to xyz 0 it starts with z0 and then xsnd y 0. This makes the surface get scratch when.

Is there someone that know of a post for fusion 360 that will prevent it doesn't scratch the piece when it goes back to zero?

Cheers

General Mach Discussion / Z axis problem with USB 6040z CNC /Mach3
« on: April 29, 2016, 12:37:50 PM »
Hi,

I received my 6040 USB router from China earlier this week.

With the CNC I got an auto zero tool which seems to be good. But the issue I have is when running gcode it goes lower then it should. I have checked the code and that seems good. I tried a code with 4 holes with the same depth/diameter, the first one is fine but the second and third hole is going deeper and deeper. And the fourth hole cut right through the materials and into the aluminum bed.

To figure it out I have tested multiple times just setting the Z0 with both the "auto tool" and also without it.

It seems to work fine when I try hit the button "Go to Zero" first time after it's set to 0. But if I change the position and try to go back again it presses the drill trough the material. It seems that Z0 is lowered each time i push the button "Go to Zero", if I press it three times, it pushes through 20mm of material and in Mach3 it still says that the Z is 0, even though it's pressed into the PVC sheet.

When I look at the machine coords it is the same value each time as well.

Someone who knows what the issue could be?

Many thanks in advance!
