Mach4 General Discussion / How do I do this?
« on: May 26, 2016, 09:56:44 AM »
Trying to convert some code to work with Mach4.  Getting a "Feature not licensed" error.  Sorry for what probably is a very simple answer.

IF[#30GE9.6] GOTO75 (AT TOP HEIGHT 9.6")

Thanks

Is there a way to simulate a input so I can test a macro script using Mach4 Demo version in simulation mode?

Thanks

Have an output that will turn on from a Mcode and can switch it off when an input goes high.  I would like to add a set timed value (30sec) to turn off the output if the input doesn't go high.  Not sure how to do this.  I am using Mach4.

Thanks

Third party software and hardware support forums. / Absolute encoders

New to Mach4.  Looking at using absolute encoders with a Machmotion system, since absolute encoders do not need to be homed, what if anything do you need to do when first starting up your Mach4 software?  Do you still need to Ref all or home?
Using Yaskawa servos, how do you tell the system where your axis 0.0 should be?  Sorry for the simple questions, but trying to learn.

Mach4 General Discussion / Adding external push buttons
« on: January 22, 2016, 09:39:48 AM »
Hello.

I am looking at retrofitting an outdated mill using a MachMotion controller.  I would like to be able to use the spare inputs on their Apollo III controller to connect external push buttons or possibly a joystick used for jogging remotely.  I have no experience with Mach4, so am looking for a way how to do this...or if it is easily done.

I have read many posts here and I am pretty sure that it is possible, just need some direction as to the easiest way.  If possible, I would like to have 4 buttons for Continuous jog of X/Y + & - and then have 2 more buttons for Incremental jog of Z.

I know there are other options for jogging using the software, keyboard or MPG, but I am looking for a remote option.

Thank you
