HiCON Motion Controller / Error in Debug window, etc.
« on: February 15, 2021, 02:50:11 PM »
Hello All,

My debug window has these warnings flipping by and when I go to my HiCon debug window I noticed what I believe to be my 0 motor just keeps changing from the actual value to 0 over and over.  I did a search for that warning and didn't find anything.   I've been having failures  (STOPS) while trying to cut my aluminum vacuum plenum and can't trace down what the issue is.  It'll be cutting along fine and then just stop with some kind of limit error that I can't track down.  Could this be causing it?   Any help on what I need to do to troubleshoot this is appreciated.

Thank You,

HiCON Motion Controller / Integra 7766 status output
« on: January 24, 2017, 09:39:23 AM »
Hi,

I'm finalizing my control panel design and was wondering what things I can get from the controller and how to implement.  I'm looking for status things that would mimic the LED's on the board and maybe some other stuff I haven't thought of yet that would be helpful to run the machine.

ARM
ERR
CPU
+24V
+5V

Etc.

Thanks for any help on this.

Mach4 General Discussion / Can someone better explain probing setup?
« on: January 30, 2016, 08:10:14 PM »

I have had numerous issues getting the Z probing to work correctly and I feel at this point I'm just changing and clicking for no apparent reason.   I've attached some screen shots of my current settings.  The probing seems to change what it is doing even when changes are not made.  I'm only trying to zero the z at this point, not doing any bit change routines.  It has seemed to work a couple times in the past, although it did not properly set the Z height, but the routine went through the proper motions.  I am using a cncrouterparts spring loaded probing fixture hooked into my PMDX-126 bob.  I am getting the proper probe light indicated in Mach and have gone through the settings over and over, although some I don't clearly understand.  The current issue is that the probe goes down, contacts my block, then starts to go down again and stops with the error about continuous contact with probe, etc.

I appreciate any help that someone can provide to help me better understand the workings of the probing setup and screens.

Thanks for all your help and time in helping me get my machine up and running.   Let me know if you have any further questions on setup and I will respond promptly.
