General Mach Discussion / Strange Axis movement

Setting up a new controller, and i noticed that all axis don't return to the same position that the left from.  For example 
Starting at 0
G0
X 5"
X-5" (expecting to be at 0)
But ending at -2" on both x and y axis.

Any ideas?

I have one small CNC running, and a second setup to play with G-code for robotics.  I have 2 LPT ports but not sure how to run both setups (1 at a time), without changing the Port Pins back and forth for each setup.  Both are using different boards, so the pins are different.

General Mach Discussion / Random Direction

Hopefully a newbie problem But when i try to move either the X or Z, it will change direction randomly.  So if i were to be at the center of the table, and push right arrow, to move in that direction, it may go right (+) or left (-), and the same goes for the Z axis.  Any thoughts?
