Modbus / Modbus Problem...
« on: October 13, 2016, 03:26:03 PM »
Hello Guys...

I have a Problem By configure my Modbus Input device...

My Hardware:
Modbus TCP Converter (USR-TCP232-410s)
Modbus 16 Digital Input Module (WP8026ADAM)

When i want to configure all 16 Inputs it don't work
When i configure less than 16 Inputs it Works. But the Input #1 is useless...
Mach 4 Diagnostic -> Modbus Shows ne the Second Input as the First...

The Module is in mach 4 configured as:
Function type: Read Input Discreats (0x2)
Function name: Inputs
Slave Adress: 10
Modbus register: 02
Register count: 15 (works without input #1)
Or
Register count: 16 (don't works at all)

I use the Modbus TCP converter because I use the smooth stepper Ethernet..

I want everything via network...

You may have a solution for this problem?

General Mach Discussion / Mach3 or Mach4 whitch one should i use?
« on: August 29, 2015, 06:54:30 AM »
Hey guys...

I currently Build up my Self-Development cnc Mill / 3D Printer (all in one)

I choose Mach dir the Software i want to use but im Not sure whitch one i should use finaly...

For Mach 3 there Is an add on for use the CNC Mill as an 3D Printer.

Does an 3D Printer add on exists for Mach 4, too?

By the Way: i use the Smooth Stepper Ethernet for connect the machine to the Computer & a RS485 to Ethernet Converter to Control the VFD rpm & running Direction.

With Mach 3 i can Control 6Axis - this will be enough for my "Dream machine" if i Trick a Little...

My Dream machine (the final Status for my Self-Development) has the Standard 3 Axis (XYZ) and 2 circular Axis (AB). The C Axis i want to use for Control the automatic Tool Magazine (chain) to move the Tool i Need into the machine-work-room...
But 1 Axis will be need for Using the CNC as an 3D Printer... Maybe Switching the Tool-Magazine Stepper Motor to the 3D Printer Stepper Motor in 3D Printer Mode and Switch back to the Tool-Stepper-Motor in CNC Mill mode...

But maybe Mach4 can Do this more elegant?

What Is your recommendation?

Kind Regards...
