HiCON Motion Controller / Integra 7766 - Mach4 Plasma
« on: November 21, 2020, 07:09:51 PM »
I'm having some troubles with running programs with my plasma build. I can only cut when I have the THC enabled. If I try to run a program without it, the torch fires but doesn't move. I'm using a Robot3T THC3T-02 THC with UP/DOWN controls, and using the ARC-OK Signal from the THC.

Mach4 General Discussion / ShuttlePro + Jog Feedrate
« on: November 23, 2017, 05:02:20 PM »
Mach4 Build 4.2.0.3485. wx4.set
ESS v213

I've been wanting to address this issue for a while. I want to set a maximum jogging feedrate using my shuttlepro, for instance surface milling a part real quick, i.e. set max feedrate to 15ipm then turn the (large) wheel all the way keeping that feedrate. It seems it will always use my rapids. I've adjusted my Feedrate and Rapidrate sliding bars but that won't change anything.

Another problem I see, it seems when i'm jogging slow with the wheel when i'm @ 5ipm it will jump to 25ipm when I wan't to go slightly faster, I can't get anything in between those values.

Mach4 General Discussion / Mach4 & Neuron THC
« on: June 29, 2017, 01:47:11 PM »
Has anyone successfully integrated Neuron's THC to Mach 4? It looks like the Neuron (Lite) has complete control over the Z axis so the motion controller does not need THC capabilities directly. ESS still hasn't integrated THC and I was under the impression that Artsoft had not configured the parallel port for THC and never will. It looks like Neuron a Mach 4 plug-in and included screenset. I wish they had a phone number listed on their site, email only which seems somewhat sketchy and googling doesn't turn up much. I haven't decided on a BoB yet but PMDX is my preferred choice.

Mach4 General Discussion / Single Switch, Homing + Limits
« on: August 01, 2015, 12:24:45 AM »
I've been scouring the forums for the past couple months now and have spent the last two months completely retrofitting new controls for a Bridgeport Boss 5 Series 1 CNC. I'm using a PMDX-126 BOB & ESS, along with the original steppers and Leadshine DM2282 drivers. The first thing I did before my controls were built was wiring the limit switches to NC. With these Bridgeports, as far as the X+Y axis go, its only one limit switch. I've assigned them in mach, and have the limits working properly. However i'm having troubles setting up the homing. I.E., in M4 X axis has --, ++ & Home as the same input. When I try to home my axis it will of course hit the limit switch. I am unable to limit override and jog off because Mach sees + & - hit (my theory). This freezes movement on X,Y & Z axis. I have to manually disable the + axis to jog off the switches, restarting Mach4 several times. Also it seems that if I close Mach when a limit switch has been hit, it won't show it under diagnostics on next start up. It will only show that the limit switch has been hit if I go into the Mach setup screen, and exit out. What am I missing here?
