General Mach Discussion / Hooking up mach3 to vfd

Hey guys. Im trying to hook up mach3 to my vfd. Mach3 turns it on and off allready so what do i need to do for it to control the spindle speed.
I have a shoptask bridge mill converted to cnc and a reliance electric md60 vfd. Right now mach3 turns the spindle on and off and i can control thespeed  with an exturnal pot.

General Mach Discussion / Machine had a another brain fart.

Hey guys. My machine had another brain fart yesturday. Its happened a few times in the last couple of weeks. Yeaturday i was running a program that i have run 40 or 50 times no problem. It was a circulair pattern 1.5" down it got about an inch down and took off in another direction.

Any ideas what the problem is and how to fix it

Program was made on fusion 360 cad cam.

Hey guys. I have a question. I know its been asked before i did the search but cant understand the answers haha. I just mounted a joystick on my machine with pokeys 57u controler and it works great. My question is i have a button that i want to use to start the auto tool zero macro with. How can i do that. Can you answer with really dumbed down instructions. Haha. Thanks.

Newfangled Mill Wizard / Stupid question.

How to program an arc slot. I understand that start angle starts at 3 oclock and rotates ccw for the arc angle setting. But when i put my numbers in its not where i want them to be so i adjust the numbers and its not doing what i want it too. Anyone have an easy way to figure out where the arc should go. Or anyone have a problem like this.


Im cutting out rectangle blocks with keyway slots at the corners. Im trying to round the corners of the keyway slots if that makes any sence to you guys. Haha. Thanks for the help.

General Mach Discussion / Machine gets wacky after tool change.

I got a new to me machine a week ago and been trying to work out the bugs.  Ive posted in here a few times and gotten some good info and getting things working. My new problem is after a tool change i hit the start button and the machine does not go where its supposed to go. It doesnt do it all the time. Some times it works fine some times i makes a complete left turn and goes in the oppiset direction and starts running the program. Im hoping its just a setting or a simple fix.

 Have you guys seen this before. Thanks for your help.

General Mach Discussion / Spindle wont turn back on.

Hey guys. Me again. Getting the bugs worked out of the new to me machine. Its a 07 shopmaster bridge mill.  The spindle turns on when i start a job but if theres a proble and i stop it by hitting the stop button or estop and try to restart the spindle wont come back on. Is there a setting or something that i need to check. Thanks for the help.

Newfangled Mill Wizard / Help installing millwizard license

Haveing a problem installing the license for millwizard. First im running windows xp pro. Its a dedicated computer no internet conection. Bought a new license for this computer but typed wrong id number in. Emailed nfs amd they corrected the problem now the numbers are the same but it still will not accept the license. I have to be doing something wrong right. Haha.

General Mach Discussion / Problem with new machine.

Hey guys. I bought a shopmaster cnc mill. It came with a computer motherboard with windows xp installed and a demo mach3 installed. It has no internet conection. I downloaded my mach3 license on to a usb drive and installed it into the demo mach3 and it installed fine but now my stepper motor wont work. When i open mach3 i get N error message saying dll plugin defective. I hit ok and it says uc100 plugin defctive found ignoring. I hit ok and mach3 opens. I have the uc100 on my other computer not on my new machine. I have a pmdx-122 on the new machine. Should i erase mach3 and reinstall the newest version. Do i need to get another license for the new machine. Please help. Thanks.

Hey guys. Im looking for a new machine but i need to get something good quality. Something that will machine aluminum with no problem. And looking for atleast a 4x4 working table. What machine would you guys pick to buy. Thanks.
