General Mach Discussion / SPINDLE LEAKAGE ISSUE WITH TOUCH PLATE
« on: October 12, 2014, 08:02:03 AM »
I had a Dewalt DW611PK installed in my router and my touch plate worked properly. When I installed the DW618PK router my touch plate doesn't work. When I start the probe operation the z axis goes down very little, then retracts. The LED signaling that both leads have been touched doesn't light.

I took the router out of its mounting, hooked up the probes, and started the probe operation and it worked properly. I then took the old router, laid it across the router mounting brackets to simulate that it was mounted properly, connected the touch plate leads, then started the probe operation and it worker properly. I then took the new router, did the same as above, and it cycled the same as it did origiannly in that it didn't work.

The routers didn't have any power to them in the last debug phase.

So I assume something is going on with the new router, Any ideas on where to start looking?
